Ticket to Ride in the comics

| | Comments (0)

A modern board game makes a surprising appearance this week in the American newspaper comic strip, Sally Forth. The titular character's family is weathering out a power outage, and when she turns to their board game collection to pass the time, she pulls out -- Ticket to Ride.

One friend of mine wonders whether this was a paid endorsement of some kind, but I suspect that Days of Wonder's charming crossover title has simply won another fan with the strip's creator.

Interesting to note that Sally's description more closely matches the actual gameplay than the game's non sequitur storyline.
